Graduate Students Win Film Award at the Smithsonian's Earth Optimism Summit

Emily Miller-a graduate student of Pete Klimley, and Jonathan Rose-Brian Todd's recent PhD student, just won 1 of 3 student film awards at this week's Earth Optimism Summit at the Smithsonian, for their video, "The Gray Whales of the St. Ignacio Lagoon."  The short video they made is remarkable, inspiring and optimistic.

The third author in the first publication cited in this video, Rod Hobbs, was Loo Botsford's second graduate student, who received his PhD in the graduate group of ecology and WFCB (WFB then) during the mid 80s.
